Being a Friend:

In October 2015, the friends helped W.G. Rhea Public Library by sponsoring the Salad Spectacular luncheon fundraiser. We donated Bookstore sales to help the library purchase new furniture. The Friends contributed funds for library subscriptions and DVDs. We, also, provided funds to support children's programs such as the pre-school story hour and holiday events such as Polar Express at Christmas time.

In 2016, the Friends' donations will help purchase tables, chairs and other equipment for the Meeting Room (previously occupied by the Geneology Department).

Your book donations make it possible for the Friends to provide inexpensive reading materials for other residents in our community. The Bookstore, also, donates older books to the community nursing homes, jails, daycares, hospitals and our military.

We're more than just Friends of the Library. We're Friends of the community.
